I have always dreamed of retiring early and finally owning my time to do whatever I wanted to. When I wanted to.
As a first generation Guyanese-American, I have seen my parents struggle making a home in this country. They are the reason I have been in pursuit of financial freedom since I was a kid.
I’ve tried and failed with many approaches throughout the years; however, I finally feel comfortable with the systems I’ve created that allow me to save, invest, and plan for the future.
Throughout this journey, I found so much information on personal finance that it was too overwhelming to even begin taking action. That’s why I created GoMoneybyGomanie!
It’s meant to be a means for me to document my continued journey. My hope is that this becomes a resource for everyone that is just starting out to better understand the world of personal finance. Something that I wish I had starting with the basics without any over complication.
You don’t need to be an expert in order to take control of your own finances. I’m not a certified financial planner, accountant, advisor, etc. I am passionate about sharing what’s worked for me and what I’ve learned along the way.
